VMware vCenter Server Appliance 6.0 Guided Installer Walkthrough

The vCenter Server Appliance (vCSA) does now have a guided installer. It is no longe available as .ova or .ovf. The deployment of vCSA is now done by mounting an ISO and configure vCSA with a browser.

  1. Mount the VMware VCSA Installer ISO File
  2. Install the Client Integration Plugin (\vcsa\VMware-ClientIntegrationPlugin-6.0.0.exe)
  3. Run vcsa-setup.html to start the Installer
  4. Press Install

  5. Specify the ESXi host on which you want to deploy the VCSA.

  8. Select Configure Single Sign-On, enter a password, Domain name and Site name. The domain name should have at least one point. You can also specify an external SSO domain if you have an existing platform services controller.

  9. Select appliance deployment size. At this point you should be able to estimate how large the platform will be.

  1. Hi all,

I installed the Plugin6.0 but the vm webpage message shows:

    1. please install client plugin provided in the vCenter image(requires closing browser.

    2. When prompted, allow access to client intergration plugin.

    Detecting client plugin... Timed out.

The plugin is installed but yet dosent see it causing timeout.

I'm using both Chrome, Firefox and I.E

I had this going before, dont know what changed.
